About Tirumala Tirupati Brahmotsavams

The Tirumala Tirupati Brahmotsavam is an ritual being conducted to Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy. Historical records says that this ritual was organized every year since the 10th Century and almost 12 Brahmostavam’s are being conducted every year. One Special mega Brahmotsavam every year in the month of Bhadrapadha and another once in every three year called Navarathri Brahmotsavam due to the addition of a Adhikamasam (Additional month in the Hindu Calendar)

Lord Srivaru will be come on different Vahanams (vehicles) in the 9-day Brahmotsavams. These includes

4. Sarva Bhoopala Vahanam

7. Chandra Prabha Vahanam

9. Dwajavarohanam

The Dwajarohanam marks the beginning of the festival while the Chakrasnanam marks the end. Devotees in large numbers from various states of the country and from other counties visit Tirumala during the festival.
