Sent to Judicial Custody


The CBI who is investigating the Satyam Computer Services Limited's scandal, arrested Vice-President G Ramakrishna and employees Srisailam and Venktapathy Raju and produced before the XIV Additional Chief Metropolitian Magistrate. The Magistrate sent them to judicial remand till April 15. The CBI has informed the Court that the three were accused in the Satyam fraud along with Suryanarayana Raju of SRSR Advisory Services Ltd., who was on anticipatory bail.

The arrested were sent to the Central Prison at Chanchalguda. In another development, Enforcement Directorate had issued a FIR against the accused in Satyam Scam Ramalinga Raju and V Srinivas. The Enforcement Directorate filed an application seeking the Court's permission to record the statements of the three accused.

The Enforcement Directorate maintained that the accused have violated several provisions that attracted the provisions of the Directorate. Meanwhile, it is learnt that the CBI is expected to file a charge sheet on the accused on Tuesday.
