APCC President says its doors are open for any party except TDP and BJP
Barely a day after Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy said that the Congress was prepared to go it alone in the next elections, APCC President D Srinivas, on his part, came up with a statement that the door of the party are always open to all opposition parties except the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Bharateeya Janatha Party (BJP).

Hyderabad, September 21, 2008

In an unexpected move, noted telugu film actress Jayasuda is all set to join the Congress Party before Dasara according to reliable sources. She will formally make her entry into the party in the presence of the Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy and the APCC President D Srinivas. It may be recalled that on the eve of by elections to the Assembly in May, there was a talk of the actress being fielded from Secunderabad Assembly constituency.

Andhra Pradesh politics has witnessed the entry of many film and film industry-related people entering into politics - from Dr. NT Rama Rao to the recent Vijaya Santhi, Roja, Chiranjeevi who have tasted both hits and flops in politics.
