Miscreants suspected to be African-Americans

Just a few weeks after Arpana was found murdered at her apartment in Seattle, USA, another student from Andhra Pradesh, Shashank Pulluri who is studying MBA in the Middle Tennessee University at Murfreesboro in Tennessee, US was critically injured after some miscreants shot at him who are suspected to be African-Americans.

Shashank, who belongs to Warangal went to United States last year to pursue higher studies. He has been staying with two other students who also from the same district. According to reliable information reaching here, the three students returned home from the university in their car. Minutes later, Shashank came out to collecting a bag that he had left behind in the car, even as he was taking out the bag, three African-Americans fired at him and fled the scene. Hearing the gun shots, the roommates went out and found Shashank lying in a pool of blood and immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital where the doctors removed the bullet after performing two surgeries on him and later shifted him to intensive care.

The roommates conveyed the news to his parents and his father is a sub registrar and mother, a school teacher. As they did not have passports, SP VC Sajjanar immediately cleared their application under the Tatkal scheme. They are likely to get their documents in a couple of days and may visit their son in US. This is the ninth such incident in the last one year.
