TRS President KCR to begin his road show in Warangal

Hyderabad, May 11, 2008

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has announced the candidature of Mohammed Khaja Arifuddin from Khairtabad Assembly by election. Meanwhile, the party replaced on health grounds K Ganga Reddy with his son Anand Reddy for the Dichpally Assembly by elections. Ganga Reddy was the MLA of the constituency till he resigned along with other party MLAs.

The two decisions were announced by the TRS president, K Chandrasekhara Rao before he left for the election campaign on behalf of the party on Sunday afternoon. He will carry out the campaign in a newly acquired Eicher bus which has been modified as a luxury vehicle for long travels.

He will take up a road show by the bus in Warangal district on Monday. Speaking to media before his departure, he said that he will return to the city on Thursday to address public meetings in Khairtabad Assembly constituency. He said that it was decided to allot the party ticket to a Muslim for Khairtabad in a bid to empower the community which could not expect justice in an integrated State.
