Parents files case in a family court today
Hyderabad, March 31, 2008The parents of noted comedian Shivajiraja's parents today filed a case in a family court accusing him of turning them into paupers. In the month of March witnessed raids on the houses of prominent film personalities by Income Tax officials, arrest of actress of Asha Saini and now, the allegations against Shivajiraja.
Shivajiraja's parents Ramaraju and Chandravathy alleged that Shivaji had made them penniless by forcing them to sell their properties in Bhimavaram. They charged that their entire property was sold and money was spent on Shivaji's film institute, education and other needs. Now, they are staying in a rented house in Hyderabad and their medical bills are increasing with every passing day. They said that Shivaji is neglecting them and cursing to die soon, they lamented before media.
In response to the charges by his parents, Shivaji claimed that he became an actor with the support of his friends. He said that his parents supported him till he was 18 and later, he haven't received a single penny from his father till date. He further added that what ever little property his father had earned as a drier was given to his sister. Discrediting their credentials, Shivaji said that everybody in his village knows about his parents. He said to the media to cross check the credentials of his parents and their claims.
