Probe launched against two officials and a student in this connection

The Education department officials today held a teacher responsible for leaking the objective question paper of English language at Gajapatinagaram and suspended him from his services. Prasad Rao was deputed as invigilator for the SSC examinations being held at Government Girl's High School at Gajapatinagaram. The officials also removed the Chief Superintendent Lalita Kumari and departmental officer Veerabhadra Rao from examination duties. They registered a case against him and a X th class student AB Harish who smuggled the paper out of the school and got it copied. He was also booked for malpractice and will not be allowed to take the rest of the examinations.
District Educational Officer, Y Balaiah said Veerabhadra Rao was not vigilant and neglected his duties that caused the question paper leak. An inquiry has been launched against Lalita Kumari, Veerabhadra Rao and Harish.
He said that a report will be submitted to the Director of School Education for further action. All the tahasildars have been asked to close down the xerox centres during the examination hours, he said.
