Nearly 10,000 students miss out
Hyderabad, March 23, 2008
The SSC examinations that begins on Monday, more than 10,000 students will not be able to take the examination as either they have been duped by private schools that failed to forward the applications or some heads of schools did not submit the ICR applications to the DEO concerned due to various reasons. Though denial of hall tickets has been a regular feature, the number is huge this year and officials attribute it to th mischief of private schools that have become bolder.
The Director of Government Examinations, GV Subba Rao said that many unrecognized schools admit students in Xth class with the hope that they can manage the officials and legalize admissions. Some schools pay the fee for private candidate as regular ones and bargain with them for additional money. Fee for private candidates is much higher than regular candidates, he added. He said that the government should be blamed as they have cleared all the applications that were submitted.
