Golden Nandi to get Rs. 25000 cash and citation
Hyderabad, March 13, 2008The Andhra Pradesh Government has announced Nandi TV Film awards for the year 2006 in eight categories viz., telefilms, TV features, TV mega serials, TV daily serials, TV Children's films, TV documentary films, TV Socially relevant films and TV education films.
The winners have been selected by the Government constituted 14 member committee chaired by writer Dr V Krishna which viewed 54 films from January 31 to March 31. Serials which were telecast between January 1, 2006 and December 31,2006 have been selected for the awards. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has been presenting the awards since 1990. The producer for the best film will get a Golden Nandi, Rs.25,000 cash a citation where as the producer of the second best film gets a silver Nandi, Rs.10,000 cash prize and a citation. Director gets a copper Nandi for both first best and the second best films.
At a press conference, C Pardhasarathi, Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Television and Theatre Development Corporation said that the Nandi TV awards for the year 2005 that were announced said that recently and the awards for the two years will be presented by the Chief Minister, Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy at a function in Visakhapatnam at the end of April.
