Silk saris, ready made shirts on exhibition cum sale

Vijayanagaram, January 9, 2008

Andhra Pradesh Khadi Industries Board Deputy director Ch Vadapalli speaking to media said that an exhibition cum sale of Khadi products will be conducted at Revenue Kalyana Mandapam from January 10 to 14. Several varieties of Khadi and rural products will be available for the customers.

He said that shirts, dhotis, sarees from Ponduru and Srikakulam, Majlis shirts, ready made textiles would be sold directly by the manufacturer at the stall. A discount of 20 percent will be given on Khadi textiles apart from discounts on bedsheets, lungies, towels, ready made kurthas and other dress materials.

He said that the customers can buy printed silk sarees, Pochampalle saris, Gadwal, Coimbatore, Dharmavaram, Orissa and West Bengal among silk Khadi textile varieties. Among rural products will be Yetikoppaka dolls, paper bags, pickles, soaps, agarbattis, jute products and other handicraft.
