Demands for hike in salaries among others
Vijayanagaram, January 7, 2008
All contract lecturers of government colleges today struck work demanding regularization of their jobs. Contract Lecturers Association president D Appalanaidu demanded that the government hike the salaries of degree colleges to Rs.15,000 and that of junior college lecturers to Rs.12,000 besides granting maternity leave to women lecturers.
The delegation submitted a memorandum to the District Vocational Officer. Association president, secretary and women's secretary were present.
