Governor, Chief Minister pays respects to the departed leader
Hyderabad, January 6, 2008
The Chief Minister, Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy assured a memorial would be built for former Khairtabad MLA P Janardhana Reddy beside PV Narasimha Rao Ghat on Necklace Road. The State Government would construct the memorial overcoming the legal hurdles that prevented the work.
The Chief Minister had a brief interaction with the family members of late Janardhana Reddy at the obsequies of Janardhana Reddy at People's Plaza on Necklace Road. The Chief Minister and his Cabinet Colleagues, Governor, ND Tiwari, former Chief Ministers, N Janardhana Reddy, N Bhaskara Rao, Union Ministers, S Jaipal Reddy and Renuka Chowdary and number of MPs and MLAs attended the ceremony.
A large crowd queued up to offer tributes to the portrait and a plaster of paris bust of Janardhana Reddy which was placed on a platform.
