Nellore, January 5, 2008

Industries Minister, J Geeta Reddy speaking at a press conference said that the State Government today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Caparo Engineering (India) Pvt.Ltd., for developing a Special Economic Zone for automotive and aerospace manufacturing park at Pellakuru Mandal in Nellore district. Industries Principal Secretary Sam Bob and CPIL MD T Sunil Pahilajani signed the MoU in the presence of the Chief Minister, Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy at Secretariat.

She said that the government is inviting entrepreneurs for industrial development that would create employment opportunities, attract investment and develop infrastructure in the state. The State Government will allot 2,000 acres of developed industrial land with all basic infrastructure to the company.

On its part, CEIPL will invest nearly Rs.2,500 crore over a period of ten years and provide employment to more than 10,000 persons.
