Police registers attempt to murder case under different sections

Seven of the ten persons involved in the allegedly involved in the attack on the cine actor Dr. Rajasekhar on Tuesday surrendered before the police. The police registered a case of attempt to murder among other sections of law. As a result, the police invoking section 307 of IPC, the accused do not have a chance of securing bail immediately and would have to sent for judicial remand. However, the Panjagutta Police refused to comment on the surrender but sources said that the surrendered were being interrogated. Police are on the hunt for the other three persons involved in the attack.
Responding the surrender of the seven persons, the tollywood actress and director and wife of Dr. Rajasekhar, Mrs. Jeevitha expressed her happiness and said that they would not be content till the main persons involved in the attack and the brain behind the incident is put behind the bars. She praised the police and expressed confidence that the others would be apprehended soon.
Before they entered into the police station along with their advocate, they gave interviews to local new channels on their version of the incident. It is reportedly said that their aim was not to attack cine actor but wanted to seek an apology from him for commenting on the entry of film star Chiranjeevi into politics. They, however, confessed to have attacked the actor’s car near Punjagutta junction. The police also seized the Innova vehicle that was used by the attackers and are on search for the second vehicle they used.
