Division Bench directs AP State Housing Corporation
Hyderabad, January 21, 2008
A Division Bench of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, comprising Chief Justice Anil Ramesh Kumar Dave and Justice Gopala Krishana Tamada, on Monday directs the AP State Housing Corporation not to finalize the tenders for the sale of the property at Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad city.
Dr EAS Sarma and the Lead Visakha Foundation complaining that the corporation was trying to sell away lands in contravention of the GO No913 that regard hills and valleys as green belts and should not be alienated filed the writ petition.
The petitioners also contended that the sale was not in consonance with the object of the Act under which Housing Corporation was enacted. After hearing the counsels of the both the parties, the High Court gave the direction.
