Hyderabad, January 13, 2008Presenting the Akkineni Nageswara Rao award-2007 that was instituted by the Akkineni International Foundation, the Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy on Sunday lauded thespians Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Anjali Devi's contribution to the Telugu Film Industry.
Presenting the award to Anjali Devi, he said that he had watched their films as a child and enjoyed them. But for the last three decades now, he stopped seeing movies he said. The Union Minister of State for Mines, T Subbirami Reddy said that Anjali Devi was perfect human being unlike some women who were overpowered by moods.
Former Governor of Karnataka, VS Ramadevi praised Anjali Devi for leading an outstanding life off screen. She said Hindi star Hema Malini was no match to the brilliance of Anjali Devi in the dubbed version of 'Badi Pantulu'.
