Four officials suspended
Hyderabad, February 6, 2008Rescue tools kept in the Secunderabad Fire Station were stolen from the premises leading to the suspension of four officials of the AP Fire Services Department.
An official source says that the theft took place on February 2. The toll s include two power saw, one Ram, a power generator, hydraulic jack among other equipment all worth over Rs.5 lakhs.
According to an official, they lodged a complaint with Ramgopalpet police and they are investigating the matter. The Secunderabad fire station is located on the main road and there is a possibility of anyone entering the premises and stealing the tolls. Following the incident, four officials were suspended.
