Demands basic infrastructure facilities in rural areas
Vijayanagaram, February 5, 2008
The Andhra Pradesh State MPTCs’ Association today launched its statewide agitation till March 20, 2008 demanding provision of basic infrastructure facilities at rural areas. As a part of the agitation, the MPTCs will be in the headquarters of all the Assembly constituencies and districts on March 1, 2008.
According to Association president, YB Rajendra Prasad said to the media that nearly 16,000 MPTCs across the State would participate in the meet to be held at Hyderabad in the last week of March to discuss further strategies for the welfare of the people.
It may be recalled that the State Government responded to the agitation taken up by the Association earlier and promised to fulfill 15 of the 39 demands. However, only six demands were fulfilled so far, he said.
