Magistrate orders 14 days judicial custody

It may be recalled that on January 28 some fans of Chiranjeevi attacked cine actor Dr.Rajasekhar and his family. The police arrested the six accused in the incident were produced in the Nampally Criminal Court today. The accused seemed every inch unabashed Chiru fans and were at their vocal best chanting ‘Chiru Zindabad’ and ‘Mega Star Zindabad’ when they were produced in the court.
The Magistrate remanded them to 14 days judicial custody. When they came out of the court premises, spoke to media said that they were pained to see that Chiranjeevi apologizing to Rajaskehar. Three persons involved in the incident are at large and the police are on hunt for them. The police had registered a case under section 307 IPC a day after the attack.
Meanwhile, the State Human Rights Commission, which took up the issue of the case based on a faxed complaint, directed the Panjagutta Assistant Commissioner of police to come with the details in the case. The police told the SHRC chairperson that they have arrested 10 persons involved in the attack. Chairperson B Subhashan Reddy not satisfied with the version sought further details and sought to know whether any security was provided before hand to Rajasekhar and why the police fail to intercept when his vehicle was chased for several kilometers. He directed the ACP to submit the FIR and other related documents.
