MRPS to intensify agitation for SC categorization

Krishna Madigas indefinite fast enters third day

The Madiga Reservation Porta Samithi has decided to intensify their agitation seeking introduction of a Bill on categorization of SCs in the Parliament Session even as its leader Krishna Madiga's indefinite fast that entered the third day on Wednesday. The MRPS activists would lay siege to all the State highways on Thursday and organize rail roko protests in the next day.

MRPS leader Krishna Madiga charged the government of adopting double standards on the issue. He demanded to put an end to such tactics immediately and asked the Chief Minister, Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy to visit New Delhi to exert pressure on the Centre to introduce the Bill.

Several MRPS leaders and supporters squatted near the Minister's quarters in Banjara Hills in a bid to prevent them from attending the Cabinet Meeting. They climbed atop a flood light tower at LB Stadium and communication towers at Kushaiguda and Kukatpally to highlight their demand. The police however prevented the attempt of an activist of self immolation at LB Stadium.
