Mysterious murder of Realtor at K Keshava Rao son's residence

Venkat Reddy reportedly shot dead Prashant Reddy at his residence

Hyderabad, September 9, 2007

Venkat, the son of PCC president K Keshava Rao is back in news for wrong reasons. Reports say he has allegedly shot dead Prashant Reddy, a realtor at his posh Jubilee Hills residence on Sunday afternoon. According to sources, Venkat had an heated argument with the relater who was also the owner of a piece of land for which some repayment is to be made.

It is learnt that Prashant Reddy went to the house of Venkat where they both had some drinks. At that time only Venkat's wife along with the servant are in his house. During the course of discussions, Prashant kept insisting that Venkat repay the amount due. Venkat lost his control and allegedly whipped out his licensed revolver and shot at him at close range at around 4pm. He took him to Apollo hospital where he was declared dead and he himself also joined in the hospital as he fell unconscious.

The victim's wife Vilasini says, that it was a clear case of murder but the scene of offense was being made to look as though her husband had shot himself and committed suicide. She said that her husband is not so weak minded to commit suicide. The police have not allowed the media to enter the room till the forensic and related officials arrived the scene. However, the police have not registered any complaint. Keshava Rao who in tour to Karimnagar on hearing the news dashed backed to his house. He maintained silence over the incidence.

According to the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Banjara Hills) V Ramakrishna said that the police inspected Venkat's house but not made any comments and the police are taking complaint from Prashant's Reddy's family members and will decide about the case after going through the complaint and evidence, he added.
