Hyderabad boy rescued; Parents leaves Hyderabad to bring their boy back
Khammam, September 5, 2007The three kidnappers simply left the boy under the care of tribal near Tekupalli in Khammam district and disappeared. According to information, the kidnappers of the Hyderabad-boy Rohit have left the boy at the care of Bhukya Lal of a tribal hamlet between Illendu and Kothagudem at 11.30am and also abandoned the car in which they were traveling in after one of its tyres burst but promised to return to claim the boy.
Bhukya comforted the boy who was suffering from fever and waited for the trio till 6pm. As they failed to return, Bhukya summoned his nephew, an engineering student and both of them handed over the boy to the police of Tekupalli. However, Rohit though in shock was healthy and was suffering with fever. He was in the safe custody of the Superintendent of Police, RS Chauhan. Relatives of Rohit rushed to Khammam to bring the boy back to his parents.
The rescue came in Tekupalli came in barely an hour after the Cyberabad police released the sketches of the three suspects who whisked Rohit away in a Toyota Quails outside his house in Kondapur. Though the boy is safe, the police are speculating about the motive of the kidnappers who did not make any ransom calls. Meanwhile, the police have picked up two persons, one of them identified as former naxalite Venkanna, moving suspiciously in a vehicle. Their links to the kidnapping affair are yet to be established. Meanwhile, Roghit's parents left for Khammam to get back their son. Rohit's parents and their relatives are in grief when there was no word from the kidnappers about the boy but their faces turned cheerful when local televisions began flashing news that the boy is safe.
