KCR to hold Praja Sadassu from October 14

Says elections will be held anytime after January 08

Hyderabad, September 30, 2007

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President K Chandrasekhara Rao has decided to hold Praja Sadassu in all the districts beginning from October 14, 2007. One mass meeting in each district will be held and they are likely to be completed by the end of the month. Though he initially planned rath yatras in the Telangana region, it was shelved as he believes elections are fast approaching.

Speaking to media, Chandrasekhara Rao said that elections are certain and will come up anytime after January 2008. Addressing a training camp, he prophesied that a Dalit would become the first Chief Minister of Telangana State and a Muslim will be Deputy Chief Minister. He promised all sorts of subsidies to farmers for one year if the TRS is voted to power.

Chandrasekahra Rao added that if the TRS wins a majority of the Assembly seats in the region, the majority party will invariably knock on our doors for support. He said that the TRS has to secure more number of seats in the next elections and create a situation like in Bihar.
