Accused official would be arrested and produced before the Judge
Hyderabad, September 26, 2007The officials of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday organized simultaneous raids on the properties of the Assistant Secretary A Sai Prasad who is working in Tourism Departmen. Early estimates say that the ACB are able to unearthed assets worth over Rs.1 crore. Raids are also conducted of his close relatives.
The assets included eight house sites at Navanirmana Nagar, Mastanagar, Jubilee Hills, Langar Houz, Moosapet and Kukatpally all worth over Rs.68,37,500. The movebale properties and five bank accounts in the names of the accused officer and his family members with total balances of over 37,05,577. The official also recovered jewelery of 65 tolas of gold and silver articles together which are worth over Rs.5 lakhs. In addition, he possessed a car worth Rs. 8 lakhs, hold articles worth Rs.2 lakhs and four insurance policies worth Rs.1,61,828. The whole toll has put his assets to near over Rs. 1 Crore.
The Assistant Secretary would be arrested and produced before the Principal Special Judge for ACB and SPE cases at Hyderabad.
