Charged for holding disproportionate assets worth over Rs.1.31 crore
Hyderabad, September 22, 2007The officials of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs. 1.31 crore belonging to M Satyanaryana, Director (Technical) Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Simultaneous searches were conducted on his office and houses, including that of his close relatives and friends at Hyderabad and Nalgonda districts. It is revealed that he owned two flats in Ameerpet and Tolichowki, three plots in MLA's Colony, Banjara Hills, a five storeyed commercial complex at Vengalraonagar. In addition to these, cash over Rs. 6 lakhs was found along with documents pertaining to his investments in shares to the tune of Rs. 64,500, NSCs worth over Rs. 6.5 lakh, gold and silver jewelery worth Rs.2.27 lakhs along with costly house hold articles.
Satyanaryana is arrested and would be produced before the Principal Special Judge for ACB and SPE cases, Hyderabad.
