Hyderabad, September 22, 2007Axis Bank, on Saturday, opened its Chandanagar Branch. The bank's Southern Zone President, CP Rangarajan said that Axis Bank has one of the largest ATM network in India and even has its presence in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Dubai. He said that the Bank is currently focusing on rural areas of the State.
Rangarajan said that the Bank has 28 lakh salary accounts and has the fifth largest market capitalization. He further added that the bank has 19 branches and 84 ATMs in Hyderabad and 43 branches and 183 ATMs elsewhere in the state.
BHEL General Manager (Planning and Development) PVR Prasad, Axis Bank Assistant Vice president VV Sugun and others were present on the occasion, according to a press release.
