APCC President says its doors are open for any party except TDP and BJP
Barely a day after Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy said that the Congress was prepared to go it alone in the next elections, APCC President D Srinivas, on his part, came up with a statement that the door of the party are always open to all opposition parties except the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Bharateeya Janatha Party (BJP).

Hyderabad, September 15, 2007

The former Kovvur MLA from West Godavari district, GS Rao has been appointed acting President of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC). He will continue in office till the party high command finds a suitable candidate for the post vacated by Keshava Rao.

GS Rao is currently acting vice president of the PCC. He is the senior most leader in the executive. Rao had earlier served as President of the West Godavari District Congress committee.
