Award presented in recognition of implementation of official language policy

The National Mineral Development Corporation Limited (NMDC) has been awarded the Indira Gandhi Rajbhasha Shield by the Union Government for implementation of the official language policy and progressive use of Hindi among the Public Sector Undertakings in the region C for the year 2005-06.
The NMDC Chairman and Managing Director B Ramesh Kumar received the award from the Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil at a function organized in Delhi on Friday.
This is the tenth time that NMDC has received this shield. Top officials of the NMDC were present on the occasion.
