TDP President urges Prime Minister to help Telugus in Gulf

Writes letter to the Prime Minister in this regard

Hyderabad, October 6, 2007

The Telugu Desam Party President N Chandrababu Naidu urged the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh to provide the helpless Telugus in the Gulf countries. In a letter to the Prime Minister, he charged that the State Government has failed to provided employment to the illegal immigrants who returned to the State from Gulf.

Mr. Naidu wanted the Prime Minister to direct the authorities concerned to initiate measures to bring back the illegal immigrants who have been languishing in the Gulf countries. The Union Government should arrange special flights for the safe return of Telugus from the Gulf as the State Government was not in a position to buy tickets for them, he said, in his letter.

The TDP President demanded that a special cell be set up to monitor the return of the illegal immigrants and provide relief and rehabilitation to them.
