Intelligence Bureau alerts Hyderabad Police

Hyderabad, October 5, 2007

The Hyderabad City police who are yet to recover from the May 18 and August 25 bomb blasts, received another alert from Intelligence Bureau that suicide bomber may likely to target in the city during the Ramzan festive season on Friday. According to police sources that the alert said that suicide bombers were moving in the the city to blow themselves up during the festive season to instigate communal violence.

Immediately after receiving the Intelligence Bureau alert, the Hyderabad Police officials led by Balwinder Singh reviewed the security arrangements. According to a senior police officer, the intelligence bureau has indicated alert pertaining to the city but no area has been mentioned.

Unconfirmed reports suggested that the information about the possible terror attack poured in from the Kolkata Police who recently arrested a few Bangladeshis when they infiltrated in the country. The IB alert reportedly states that terror modules from the outfit -Harkat-ul-Jihad-Al-Islami were moving in the city to blow themselves up in crowded places especially in places of worship. Meanwhile, Bilal's brother has confirmed that his brother has planned the earlier attacks.
