Protests against digital meters

The Anti Auto Digital Meters Struggle committee that representing 11 unions have called for an indefinite strike by auto rickshaw drivers from the wee hours of Tuesday. It may be noted that the on going drive against tampered meters, the committee demanded unconditional release of the seized auto rickshaws.
It also demanded the government to allow school children and renew permits without insisting on conversion to LPG. Meanwhile, the AP Auto and Taxi Drivers association affiliated to the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh has decided not to participate in the strike.
