Charges Naidu for using his name to tarnish fathers image
Cuddapah, October 17, 2007
At a press conference at Pulivendula on Wednesday, Jagan Mohan Reddy, the son of the Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy claimed he is a businessman and not a politician. He said that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President, N Chandrababu Naidu is using his name to tarnish the image of his father.
Jagan refuted the TDP allegations over the sale of his shares in Sandur Power Company and said there was nothing wrong in the sale of shares to fund the expansion of his business. He said that the Chandrababu Naidu was leveling baseless allegations against him that he was trying to convert his black money into white by selling jacked up shares of Sandur Power Company to fictious firm in Mauritius.
Jagan further said that all his money was white and there was no need to buy assets on benami names. The TDP president is worried over the Congress Government announcement over Rs. 2kg rice scheme, in the wake of forthcoming elections and that Chandrababu Naidu is trying to tarnish the image of his father.
