Newly wed couple fears wrath of family; Seeks help from media and police
Hyderabad, October 17, 2007The news of the marriage of film star Chiranjeevi's youngest daughter Srija marrying her long term boyfriend G Sirish Bharadwaj came as a shocking surprise for the family. The newly wed couple says that they are in love for the past four years and have finally decided to marry at 11.30am on Wednesday morning at the Arya Samaj Mandir in Bowenpalli. Bharadwaj is in his final year B.Tech student and Srija is preparing for CA.
According to sources, the duo met the Arya Samaj authorities along with certificates and other proofs of their age on October 12 and fixed the time at 11.30am as marriage muhurat on October 17, 2007 for their marriage. They printed wedding cards and distributed them among close friends. Their common friends organized the marriage, which is legally valid as both the bride and groom are majors. Though, the wedding invitations were printed, both their families are apparently kept in the dark. Bharadwaj's father is a lawyer and comes from a conservative Brahmin family and his parents would never have consented to an inter caste marriage. The newly wedded couple have taken every care as a precautionary measure and alerted the media even as their friends posted the marriage video and photos on the websites and blogs.
Speaking to media, Chiranjeevi's brother-in-law Allu Aravind said that she left the house on the pretext of visiting a relative. Within an hour, the news about her marriage was telecasted in television channels about her marriage. This has come as a big shock to the family of Chiranjeevi, Allu Aravind said. He says that Chiranjeevi preferred to be away from media eyes as he was in deep shock. He added that he will speak to media after a few days. The latest bout of stress on Tollywood superstar comes at a time when he has been concentrating on the career of his son, Ramcharan, whose film Chiruta was released recently. On the other hand, various political parties are eyeing Chiranjeevi if the later thinks about a possible entry.
