Non locals in Singareni and AP Transco to be relocated

The opposition MLAs on Wednesday expressed displeasure over the indifference of the officials in furnishing the required information about the number of non local employees who are to be repatriated to their native places. The House Committee meeting chaired by Congress member N Uttam Kumar Reddy witnessed the opposition party members lamenting the inability of the officials from the Health department.
AP Genco, AP Transco and other public undertakings to place the information before the committee. Notwithstanding the opposition members' criticism, the committee took some important decisions such as recognizing as local posts all non gazetted posted identified as per the Presidential Order and upgrading to gazetted rank. The Committee alsol issued orders to implement GO 610 in public undertakings including Singareni Collieries Company limited, AP Transco, AP Genco and APSRTC.
Uttam Kumar Reddy speaking to reporters said that a majority of 12 lakh employees, teachers and workers would now come under the purview of GO 610. The Finance Secretary, IVR Krishna Rao informed the committee that the Government had accorded approval for the creation of supernumerary posts following repatriation of non locals.
