Summons her and warns against repeating such acts
Hyderabad, October 11, 2007
Amidst criticism in the Congress party over the objectionable conduct of Mahila Congress president Ganga Bhavani and other workers, the Chief Minister summoned Ganga Bhavani for barging into the residence of TDP spokesperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari and using foul language for making certain statements against the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister warned MLC Ganga Bhavani and others against repeating such acts as they would cause irreparable damage to the party. Sources close to the Chief Minister might ask the party leadership to relieve Ganga Bhavani of the president's post shortly. Reacting to this, she said that she would not hesitate to quit if the Chief Minister wants her to step down.
