Police Commissioner briefs about security arrangements

Vijayawada, October 10, 2007

Joint Collector S Suresh Kumar has reviewed the arrangements for the Durga Devi Navaratrulu which will commence from October 12, 2007. He directed the officials to complete the arrangements for Dasara celebrations as the inflow of devotees is set to commence on Friday at a review meeting held at Sri Kanaka Durga temple on Wednesday.

Reviewing the arrangements, he asked the officials to give top priority for sanitation. As far as security arrangements are concerned, the Commissioner of Police, CV Anand said surveillance cameras would be installed at vantage points and traffic will be diverted wherever necessary. Metal detectors were set up at all entry points.
