Hyderabad, November 5, 2007The Chief Minister, Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy on Monday held a review meeting at the Secretariat on the implementation of Rajiv Udyog Sri scheme. He directed the officials not to tell the figures how many had got employment but post the actual figures in the website. He advised the officials that it is the duty of the government to show employment directly or indirectly and top priority should be given and the figures posted in the website will be cross checked and wrong information posted, the government will not hesitate to initiate action against the concerned official.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the government's top most priority is to create employment after irrigation schemes. He fixed the target that by the end of 2009, 2.50 lakh persons should get employment in software and bio technology fields and 10,000 persons should get employment in rest and the minimum salary fixed is at least Rs.5,000pm.
The Finance Minister, K Rosaiah, along with respective secretaries have attended the meeting. He directed the officials to conduct district wide review meetings in implementation of the scheme every month. Speaking to media, the Minister Chinna Reddy said that the government had created an employment to one lakh persons during the last year and Rs.120 crore earmarked for the scheme and nearly 50,000 persons have been employed in various fields. He said that 55 training centres are functioning across the state to give necessary training to enable them to get the jobs and the government will increase the training centres in course of time.
