It may be recalled that a blast that occurred on Thursday at Joshiwada wherein four children badly burnt and the death tool rose to 7. In a related development, the Shahinayathgunj police arrested four more persons including Subash and Ramakrishna, who are the owners of the unit was taken into custody a few days back. The other two arrested are Sunil Kumar Vyas and Narayan Das who supplied the necessary chemicals to the duo according to Shahinayathgunj Police Inspector M Bhaskar Reddy.

The police arrested them under Section 304 of IPC and also under the Indian Explosive Substances Act and Child labour Act. The condition of the children who are being treated at a corporate hospital are said to be serious.

Meanwhile, the police along with revenue officials raided a house in Shivlal Nagar in Mangalhat where they seized seven cartons of fire crackers illegally stored in the house. According to Mangalhat Inspector K Govardhan Reddy, the house owners had a licence to sell crackers on a premises in Puranapul but he was storing crackers illegally in his house for which he did not have any licence. The police arrested Narasing under Explosive Substances Act.
