Eluru - East Godavari, November 3, 2007

The officials of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) have nabbed a Fire Department Officer, BVSN Prasad on Saturday night while accepting a bribe of Rs.5,000 from a person. In view of Diwali, one person belonging to Tadepalligudm applied for permission for storage of raw materials for preparing crackers for Diwali on October 11.

The Officer of the fire department has demanded Rs.15,000 to forward the relevant file to the District Collector. He sought the help of the ACB and laid a trap. The accused officer was arrested while accepting a bribe of Rs.5,000 red handedly.
