Woman posing as staff kidnaps baby
Anantapur, November 24, 2007On Saturday, a woman in the guise of a hospital staff kidnapped a four day old baby from a private nursing home. They informed the police and after registering a case of kidnap case against launched a search. Police sources said that Priyanka wife of a BSF Jawan Mruthynjaya working in Jammu and Kashmir delivered her first baby.
The doctor went to her room and checked her and the infant at 11am. Around 11.30am, a middle aged women posing her as staff of the hospital went into the room and took the infant after telling Priyanka and her mother in law that the doctor had asked her to bring the baby for vaccination. The mother in law went into the doctor’s room as she did not bring the baby even after a half an hour. On knowing that the doctor had not instructed to bring the baby, then they realized that the infant was kidnapped.
They went on searching for the baby and enquired with persons standing outside. A person told the hospital staff a woman from Kalyandug area, whom she knows went into an auto with an infant. The police formed two search parties for the kidnapper and the infant.
