State Government agrees to transfer non-tribal teachers to plain areas
Kakinada - East Godavari, November 20, 2007
In a press release issued by the MLC of Godavari Districts’ teachers’ constituency N Sesha Reddy said that the State Government has formally agreed to transfer non tribal teachers working in the agency areas of East and West Godavari to the plain areas.
The release further said that a large number of non tribal teachers had obtained transfer orders in October 2005 but the government did not implement the orders due to various reasons. The non tribal teachers could thus not move to the plain areas of their choice despite being eligible for the transfer. The Tribal Welfare Minister Redya Naik has promised to solve the problem at the earliest after consulting the Minister for School Education.
