Hyderabad, November 16, 2007
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) members created a noisy scenes in the House demanding the Chairman A Chakrapani to allow its notice on adjournment motion to discuss MSP. He asked the agitating members to meet him at his chambers to explore how the issue could be raised in any other form. The TDP was unrelenting though all parties including CPI which also served similar notice agreed to the Chairman's proposal.
The Minister for Finance and Legislative Affairs, K Rosaiah and Minister for Higher Education D Srinivas intervened to pacify the agitated members but of no avail. Later, Rosaiah moved a motion seeking suspension of the 12 members. The Chairman suspended eleven members of TDP and one Independent member from the Legislative Council for stalling the proceedings. Though the suspension was revoked immediately after the question hour, they stayed away from the House for the rest of the day.
