Hyderabad, November 16, 2007The Union Minister for Urban Development, S Jaipal Reddy speaking to media said that padayatras will not solve problems. He said that he had been on the job for the last one and half years and the foundation stone for four-laning of National Highway 9.
He said that the foundation stone would be laid either by the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh or AICC president Sonia Gandhi during this year as per schedule. He disputed the claims by some leaders that the Government had given clearance in response to padayatras undertaken by some leaders.
Nalgonda MLA K Venkat Reddy, CPI leader Palla Venkat Reddy, MLC N Vidyasagar and Municipal Chairman PV Narayana Gowd were present at the press meet.
