NMDC enters Golden Jubilee year

Reports continued performance improvement since

Hyderabad, November 15, 2007

The National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Steel has entered the 50th year of formation. Coming across the odds and uncertainties of market and price vagaries in the initial years, the NMDC has fought hard since 1989 and improved its performance with each year passing in terms of production and profits.

The company is poised to establish a steel plant at Nagarnar. Exploration and expansion of business activities are being extended beyond the shore of India so that NMDC will soon be a global company.

According to a press release, the Chairman and Managing Director Rana Som said that there was an enormous growth potential for the company and exhorted the employees to work hard.
