Charged of alleged grabbing of 80 acres of assigned government land
Hyderabad, November 13, 2007The Revenue officials on Tuesday issued notice to the Managing Director of Balaji Aqua and Agro Products Private Limited claiming that the 163 acre tank owned by the Company has 80.25 acres of assigned land. Former MP Gadde Rammohan is the chairman of the company. Bandar MRO issued the notice seeking explanation within 15 days. It is to be noted that the tank in question lies between Polatitippa and Palletummalapalem villages near Machilipatnam.
Meanwhile, Gadde Rammohan refuted the allegations of Kankipadu MLA Devineni Rajasekhar that he owned government lands. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader challenged Rajasekhar to direct the State Government to take possession of the land and institute an inquiry into the entire issue. He alleged that Nehru was trying to divert the controversial issue of his 120 crore land deal in Hyderabad by resorting to mudslinging on him for exposing his murky land deals. The former MP denied that there is no truth in his allegations.
Kankipadu MLA Devineni Rajasekhar took media to Machilipatnam to show the lands occupied by Gadde Rammohan in the coastal areas of Tummalapalem and Polatitippa. He charged that Rammohan had encroached upon 80 acres of assigned land and government lands in the coastal area. A surveyor also confirmed that 83.39 acres of assigned and government land was in the possession of the relatives of Gadde Rammohan.
