Two persons arrested, More fake notes in circulation in West Bengal
The Hyderabad police today arrested two persons and seized fake currency worth over Rs.36 lakhs. The arrested persons are Mohammed Shoukat Ali of Maida district in West Bengal and KV Satyanaryana Reddy of East Godavari district in the Andhra Pradesh.

Three day meet targeted at skill improvement

Vijayanagaram, November 1, 2007

A three day duty meet of Visakhapatnam Range Police employees was inaugurated by District Superintendent of Police Vikram Singh Mann at the police office on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he urged the employees to improve their skills by utilizing science and technology. Close examination of criminals, photographs, video clippings and thumb impressions were crucial in the investigation of cases, he said.

Tests were being conducted to bring out the talent in police personnel and SP and additional SP level officers will act as judges at these tests. Employees from Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts were participating in the meet. Regional Forensic Science Laboratory director R Adinarayana and Officer on Special Duty M Ravindra Babu were present on the occasion.
