Chandrababu Naidu says Government lacks commitment for constituting the award

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is more likely to present the NTR National Award at its May Mahanadu to be held in Tirupati. TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu who spoke at a press conference in Hyderabad said that the since the Government lacks its commitment to setup a national-level award on the name of Dr. NT Rama Rao, the party has stick to its stand and is thus presenting the award.
The NTR National Award for four years will be presented at the Tirupati Mahanadu 2007. A panel with popular Telugu hero Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Writer and Lyricist C. Narayana Reddy and Film Producer DVS Raju was formed to pick up the eligible artists who will be presented with the award.
