Opposition charged the Government of delaying implementation of GO 610
Hyderabad, May 31, 2007The House Committee Meeting that held on Thursday witnessed heated exchanges between the ruling and opposition parties over the implementation of GO 610 while MLAs belong to the coastal area stayed away. The opposition parties charged the government with delaying implementation till the next Assembly session.
The three hour long meeting deliberated on the measures taken to replace nearly 3000 non locals working as constables in the Home department with locals. Continuing their protest against the ill treatment, MLAs from coastal Andhra region led by G Venkata Reddy kept away from the meeting.
Speaking to media after the meeting, TRS MLA T Harish Rao said that there is no co ordination between the statements of the Chief Minister and Home Minister and it is clear that the government will not implement the orders till the next elections and the only course of option left for them is to launch a massive agitation. While, TDP deputy leader Devender Goud charged that the government is not serious in implementing the Presidential Order.
