APCC revokes suspension of three MLAs

Decision taken based on the reports submitted by party observers

Hyderabad, May 30, 2007

The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president K Keshava Rao on Wednesday revoked the suspension of three party MLAS viz., Naresh Kumar Agarwal of Ichapuram, M Chandrasekhar Reddy of Uddayagiri and A Prabhakar Reddy of Sarvepally on the strength of the the reports submitted by the party observers.

It may be recalled that these three MLAs were suspended on May 6 for allegedly being responsible for the defeat of party candidates in the Legislative Council elections in Local Authority Constituencies. Later, the PCC sent a team of party observers to these districts to ascertain the facts. The observers submitted their report to the PCC Disciplinary Committee headed by S Basavapunnaiah which in turn favored revocation.
