Animal Husbandry Minister says Government releasing funds
Guntur, May 24, 2007
Minister for Animal Husbandry M Buddha Prasad, speaking with the press, said that the State Government has roped in Rs. 500 crores for the construction of Veterinary Hospital Buildings. The Minister said that about Rs. 75 crores will be spent towards purchase of cattle for the farmers and another Rs. 30 crores towards modernization of existing vet hospital buildings.
The Minister said that the Government is considering sanction of loans to fishermen and self help groups (SHG) apart from construction of tsunami and cyclone-resistant buildings for the fishing community.
